So ... What's Next?

Man, it really didn't take long for April to roll around this year. At least, that's what it feels like; that 2024 is already hurtling forward at top speed and there's nothing anyone can do to stop it. Despite some set-backs at the beginning of the year, I'm determined to make the next (counts on fingers) nine months spectacular.

Going for a "next steps/leap of faith" vibe here. No joke, the photo after this in the search was a guy on fire flying through the air.

First, an update on Janis and the Reaper. What's going on with my debut novel? Nothing! And that's a good thing. I spent three full months combing through the text and correcting any mistakes left in the manuscript by [REDACTED]. It also took me a good long while to find a cover artist I'm excited about. While I was doing all that, I began writing a bonus chapter for the new release! It's incredibly fluffy and cute and exactly what I want from an extra chapter about a dinner party. Charcuterie! Puns! Found family adorableness! I mean, what else is there? But right now, nothing is going on with the book besides waiting for the cover and the new release date, which I will announce soon on my social media pages.

Second, a general update. What's going on in my life? I have a new work in progress! I'm very happy about this story, a sapphic high fantasy about walking the line between doing what is right and what is easy.

I'm especially excited because I've done all the hard work and mapped everything out already so the plot is done, I just have to write the dang thing. Oh! Speaking of maps!
